NPT Threading Inserts are precision carbide threading inserts designed for machining 60° NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads on CNC lathes. These inserts are engineered for tapered pipe threading applications where accurate thread geometry, consistent taper and reliable cutting performance are required.
Manufactured from high-quality tungsten carbide substrates, with optional PVD coatings, NPT threading inserts provide excellent wear resistance, edge stability and consistent thread quality when machining steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and other commonly used pipe materials.
NPT threading inserts are primarily used for producing tapered pipe threads where a reliable mechanical connection and sealing performance are required.

Important: Although both NPT and ISO Metric threads have a 60° thread angle, they are not interchangeable. NPT threading requires the correct NPT thread profile, pitch and taper geometry.
